Meet Dr. Alla Weisz
Dr. Alla Weisz is a third-generation physician who knew from an early age that her life’s calling would be medicine.
Growing up in the former Soviet Union, she spent many hours observing her two paternal grandparents and her father treating their patients. Dr. Weisz earned her medical degree from Odessa National Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine. She, along with her family, immigrated to the US in late 1993, settling in Indianapolis, IN. As a Foreign Medical Graduate, Dr. Weisz successfully fulfilled all the requirements needed to obtain her license to practice medicine in the United States. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. She also completed a year of Preliminary Surgery Residency.
After completing her residency, Dr. Weisz served as staff physician and Medical Director at Hazel Dell Primary and Immediate Care Center in Carmel, Indiana before deciding to move to Palm Beach County in 2008. For over ten years, Dr. Weisz practiced medicine at MD Now Urgent Care Centers where she treated high volumes of patients with multiple, complicated medical problems and performed a large variety of minor office surgical procedures.
During the same period, she continued her passion for primary care by serving and volunteering at the Community Health Center of West Palm Beach and the Palm Beach County Health Care District Clinic. She also worked for several years as the Medical Director at Century Village Assisted Living Facility in Palm Beach Gardens.
Since 2009, Dr. Weisz continues to work as a research physician and consultant at the Center for Marital and Sexual Health of South Florida where she medically evaluates and follows patients who participate in clinical trials.
In 2018, Dr. Weisz earned her Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Keiser University in West Palm Beach.
She is active in her synagogue and a member of the Lion of Judah Society of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach.
Dr. Weisz lives in West Palm Beach. She is married to Peter Weisz and is the mother of Max Weisz, who is studying for his MBA at Carnegie Mellon University; Martin Weisz, who is attending the University of Virginia and is an offensive lineman on UVA football team; and Andrew Weisz, student at The Benjamin School and a starter on the school’s football team. Dr. Weisz is a major fan of both the Benjamin School and UVA football. Go Bucs! Go Hoos!
